**The school board has approved the 2012-2013 school calendar. We received 217 votes on the calendar options, and option #3 was the winner by a landslide! It is based on nine week grading periods, so we will transition to nine week grading periods beginning in the fall. Thank you for your input during our voting period.

GISD Community Facility Group - The goal and mission of the group was to look at existing facilities, gather data, and make recommendations that will aid GISD in making quality improvements to existing facilities. Click here to see more information.
School Messenger is our communication system that sends out messages. The system allows us to send a message to you in a variety of formats. In compliance with FERPA and COPPA, parents must sign for the portal ID's in person at your child's campus in order to use the service. If your account is inactive for 90 days, it will automatically be deleted and you will have to recreate the account using the portal ID issued to you.
